Saw the two versions side by side, and I must admit that owning the Mk1, I really prefer the Mk2 now, with the less intense..I own the Mk1 and love it, I’ve seen the Mk2 in person and it looks really cool. More bright, more of a statement version. Mine can pass as black in low lighting easily and seems to be more true to “Rolex green” but it’s gonna be an eye of the beholder thing. The Rolex strategy over decades has been minute, incremental improvements to chase perfection. That’s why the 2023 update to the Rolex Submariner (ref. 126610LV) is so intriguing — basically nothing changed, but Rolex actually (kind of) said something about it. In 2020, when Rolex released the Submariner 41 mm with the updated movement, it kept the Hulk's bezel for its 126610LV, or Starbucks. Starting in May 2023, the Starbucks will sport a brighter green, a more "yellow-green" as the Rolex rep told me.
