Hello everyone! Thanks to a fellow forum member I’ve just received my first vintage Omega. It’s actually my first Omega overall, but now I need some advice. But if your advice is truly targeted at vintage Omega watches, the problem is there is no established market. And there are a huge (and growing) number of Frankenwatches out there. And the cost of a full service is from 20% to 50% of the value.Most people, myself included take the watch to be serviced to an AD so it can be sent to the Omega service center. Some ADs have a certified Omega watchmaker that can do the service which is nice because it’s usually a faster turnaround. IIRC Omega warranties the service for 2 .
